Give foremen/superintendents easy control of their “paperwork”
The latest release of the HCSS Field Mobile app includes a new home screen with added functionality that your foremen and superintendents are going to love. This simple and intuitive screen allows you to customize their workflow to easily step through common processes, have easy access to infrequent tasks, and show the status of each task at a glance.
The screen is now divided into a top and a bottom portion so that the processes they do regularly are quickly available at the top of the screen, and the processes that they do less often, or never, are at the bottom. They can drag icons around and place them in either the top portion or the bottom portion, as well as place them in any order. For example, if foreman typically perform safety meetings, inspections, diary, photographs, time cards, and then check productions, those icons could all be placed in that order at the top of the screen.
In addition, as shown in the illustration, the crew lead can quickly see whether those processes have been completed. In this example, two safety meetings have been completed, and, as indicated by the check-mark, the Diary is complete and has been sent in. However, the photos icon indicates that two photos have been taken, but have not been sent in. The objective would be for all required processes to have a check-mark or numbers against them.
Our goal at HCSS is to continue to add functionality to this home screen to help your foremen and superintendents become as close to paperless as possible without overwhelming them with technology and, at the same time, improve their productivity by giving them and the people they report to much better and more timely information about the job. If your crew leads are still doing any of these processes manually, consider investing in software tools to help them do their jobs better.
