Inspired by Google, The building was designed to be attractive, fun and to help recruit software developers.

In 2016, HCSS expanded into a new building at their existing location in Sugar Land, TX, just outside of Houston. The new 16,000 square foot building and home to the programming and development teams at HCSS has no individual offices, but only pods that each serve as the office of 8 or so people.

“We designed this building with collabaration in mind,” said Tom Webb, HCSS Vice President of Strategy. “This concept promotes collaboration between team members, and puts those working on the same projects together in the same space.”

The building also features a slide and a climbing cargo net. “Having these fun elements not only encourages creativity, but helps us attract and retain the best employees in the area, and better employees equals better products for our customers,” Webb said.
